So who is Katherine The Creator?

KTC has been a journey for Founder, Katherine Golchert, who, after years of frustration has decided to take on the majors and do things differently.  A fashion industry professional for 20+ years, Katherine has been developing apparel for some of Australia's top retailers and has now taken her skills and applied them to the sewing and craft supply sector.

Katherine is also a Fashion Design trainer and knows all too well how expensive and limited supplies in Australia are for makers. So how are we going to do things differently?

1. No more pre-packaged quantities.  Why buy 10 when you need 5?  We are selling all of our products in single units with a minimum order of 3 units. All of our products sold by the metre can be purchased in the lengths that you need down to the CM. Our minimum cut for these product lines are 10cm.

2. By removing packaging and selling our products in units our customers will only need to buy what they need instead of buying extras that ultimately end up in land fill.  We need to reduce the impact fashion is having on the planet and removing packaging and pre-cut products we are making baby steps towards reducing the byproducts.

3. We are sourcing more sustainable options where they are available.  Think new innovations, recycled options, sustainable base fibres and deadstock options. 

We have plenty of more ways to share on how we are doing things differently, but rest assured we are makers and we are testing the products before they go to market.  We might be slower to stock products, however, these products have been tested and proven to be added the KTC brand.
